Today, I exposed my students to the ELMO and showed them how to utilize the tool. I explained to the students that we have a new friend coming to the school name ELMO. The students thought I was talking about the character from Seseme Street but I explained to them that I was talking about the document camera. The students were curious, trying to figure out what the machine is and what it is use for. I explained to them what the ELMO is and how we are going to use it in our class.
One of my students wondered why the image that was being produced from the ELMO was so dark. They had been so use to using the visualizer that it was hard to see the image at times. I explained to them that because of the materials on the cart that we may have an overcast shadow, making it hard to see. The students seem intrigued and really want to know if we are going to use it everyday.
